Oh oh... I wanna add on to the poklen thingymajigs. Pls? I know I'm not a world class certififed poklen but I am friends with Sarah.... Thus, I rest my case.
Thou art a poklen if...
1) You use 'me' and 'you' in normal conversations which aren't even in English. E.g, "Me kan tidur sudah nie, you?" I don't know ah, but personally SAKIT ku mendangar. If you want to speak in English then speak in English, if you want to speak in Malay then speak in Malay lah. Then again, the world might get sucked up into a black hole if poklen's start speaking english... So stick to malay brunei.
2) You can't live without a bf for 5 secs. You just simply must have a bf or else you'd die just like a fish taken out of water for a few minutes. A bf is like your oxygen, the very thing that keeps you alive, to hell with school grades and family, as long as you have a bf by your side, life is great. Pfft.. go suck eggs woman.
3) You act cute and clueless. E.g You puff up your cheeks to make sure your inconspicuous dimples pop up when you smile, you lower your voice when talking to a guy or you publicise your fancy for cute furry animals. Just for attention from men. Tsk tsk tsk, if you have to resort to such horrific deeds to get attention then what does that mean?
4) You show-off your extra-curricular activities. E.g Those girls who say they love basketball, soccer, karate (ehem..) or some other sport. People are smart enough to know whether you're truly passionate about it or you're just trying to make yourself more interesting. Doubt that's even possible.
5) Generally poklens are just people who are desperately trying to be someone they're not. They think they're goths just because they wear eyeliner. They think they're punks just because they have spiky orange hair. They think they're vixens just because they're stick thin and wear revealing clothes.
So, advice to all, poklen or not poklen. Just be yourself. Nobody likes a phony and I'm sure pretending to be someone you're not gets tiring after a while. Just be happy with yourself and be unique. It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks. What matters is what you think of yourself :)
